Beautiful Placemat that depicts species revered by the Incas, in this case, Felines. These animals display the hunting prowess, poise, stealth and aggression, all qualities that were valued by Inca warriors. Symbolically, cats were associated with leaders, so the tombs of the elite tombs were filled with feline imagery. This small handmade textile is manufactured with 100% sheep wool and some of its fibers have been dyed naturally. The natural dyes used are 100% natural and hand-gathered between them: leaves, bark, moss, corn, flowers, and seeds are all used to make varying shades of different colors.
