Decorative Wood Plate Peruvian Hand
A beautiful very detailed plate, entirely hand painted on wood. Depicts as a principal image an Inca holding a pair of flowers known as Kantu or Q'antu. The Incas of Peru are undoubtedly one of the most admired of ancient civilizations. The Kantu flower was considered as sacred and served as part of the rituals the Incas performed for their gods.
The plate also depicts traditional images of the Inca Culture among them: The Chakana or Inca Cross that is a recurrent millenarian symbol in the original cultures of the Andes. Includes also geometric figures, rows of triangles, squares, parallel lines, and crosses hand painted using unique colors.
