One of a kind Shoulder and Handbag made using "Pallay". Pallay is a certain type of handwoven textile performed by the weaving communities from the Andes of Peru. These textiles are hand woven on a backstrap loom or on a 4 post loom and depicts innumerable Quechua symbols and patterns, anthropomorphic, zoomorphic, and geometric patterns that tells complex stories of the interactions between the artisans and their natural environment. They also honor the Mother Earth also known as Pachamama.
Certain communities are identified by the kind, color, design and style of the Pallay used in their clothing and garments. Some symbols include the sun, the river, the stars, the flowers, the lake. They also include animal figures, that are part of their daily living. Other patterns depicts historical events and characters of the Andean folklore. The Pallay weaving is a tradition that comes from many years ago and is transmitted from the parents to new generations
Drop Shape and Clasp Closure. It has a silver color chain that allows you to use it either as a handbag or as a shoulder bag. Fabric Lining. It has a small interior compartment.
Length of the Chain: When used as a handbag can drop 8". When used as a shoulder bag can drop until 15" from your shoulder.
