A pair of colorful Peruvian figurines fashioned with their traditional dresses and style. They reflect the traditional clothes worn by the country people of Peru. Beautifully handcrafted, embroidered and decorated with very detailed fabric applications. The clothing was designed with "manta" a traditional Textile from de Andes characterized by its vibrant colors and patterns.

They reflect the different folk customs of Peru such as the Yarn Spinning. Weaving is one of the oldest traditions in Peru and an important part of the Peruvian Culture. It sits at the very core of the Quechua culture, shaping personal and regional identities, and acting as a form of inter-regional communication. Spinning is a simple fact of Quechua life. Andean spinners use low whorl spindles also known as "pushka" or "phusca". The Andean men or Cholito is carrying a small sack of potatoes on his back also known as the Peruvian Purple Potato. This type of potato was especially treasured in the era of the Inca when it was eaten by royalty.
